The Solar Energy Society of India, CEC chapter, was established in the year 2011. It was inaugurated by Prof. Srinivas Murthy on 20/8/2011 during RAJIV Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas. Its interest covers all aspects of renewable energy, including characteristics, affects and methods of use. It provides a common ground to all those concerned with the nature of this renewable non polluting resources.
